A warm to hot growing species from the Philippines, although I grow it intermediate and it has done fine.

luminous! wow! i'll start to look for one right away. a few months ago a friend gave me a dendrochilum species (though sadly collected from the wild... goodnews is that i can say i'm a responsible orchid grower.) i tried looking for its name in books but no luck. it has smaller inflorescenses and grows only to a foot in height. the spikes emerge from very thin leafless stems thet look like a mass of green coconut midribs. almost all the stems have flower spikes..

Great photos Ron. I managed to pick one of these up in London last month. What kind of light do you give it?

I really like it, the blooms look like they are made of glass ... Very unusual. Those pictures are really good as well, I wish I knew how to take an amazing (and not blurry ) close up photo like this one!
