Hi,

I do apologize my english is no to good, but I'll try my best..
Let me write few words about this place. Orchid house belonged to Potocki duke's castle in Łańcut. Greenhouse was found in the early 20th century thanks to duchess Elizabeth and duke Roman Potocki. Unfortunately in summers eightieth past century was destroyed. But last year we reopened this magnificent greenhouse to the public view. Project- "Revitalisation of historic Orchid House in the Museum-Castle in Łańcut" was supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EOG financial Mechanism.
I'll try introduce more photos by the time.
Best regards
Danuta

Daunta, thanks for the orchid tour and the brief history of the glass house. I will bookmark this so I can go back and visit over and over. Fantastic photos. Thanks so very much.

Danuta,

I have been to Łańcut Castle many times, because I grew up in the area and went to school in Rzeszow. Last time I visited was 3 years ago, so the greenhouse was not there yet. The greenhouse looks great and I am amazed at the variety of orchids you have there. Was it difficult to establish the collection? The greenhouse must be very popular destination with the great popularity of orchid growing in Poland.

Reading your post made me very happy. Welcome to the forum.

Serdecznie witam i pozdrawiam rodaczke. Podziwiam owoce pani pracy, bo jest sie czym pochwalic!!!

Ania

Danuta, thank you so much for sharing the photos of your beautiful orchid collection!

Were those Cattleya Warscewiczii in your second group of photos?

You've a lovely collection. It must be exciting to work with such magnificent plants!

Thanks for sharing your photos!

Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Aniu, me is unusually pleasantly also to see countrywoman here
How only foundling time someone would translate this what I would like to pass on this I will write more and I will tell about Castle yet and I will send photos of this miraculous place and I will answer on question
Best regards,
Danuta Pańczyk

Danuta,

I didn't understand your answer to my question. That is, you copied my question but didn't answer it.
