    Carl, What a wonderful place!

I am guessing there is way more then 35 pots in there! I think there is between 70 and 80 of plants. We should have a poll and then you count them and let us know the actual number is

    A

That is a wonderful growing space Carl.
    Those cattleyas are MASSIVE!

Your photo demonstrates the true potential of reed-stem epidendrums. Individually they may lack the flamboyance of a cattleya or dendrobium. But in droves, they really shine.

OMG what a beautiful space!!! I am thoroughly jealous That's a pretty light fixture hanging as well - this greenhouse looks much more "nice" as opposed to the ones that tend to look kinda industrial, I like it very much!! You've obviously put a lot of work into your haven and it surely shows!! I would be happy as a clam in there very nice!!

    Hi,
Ania, There are many more than 35 in the greenhouse, have no idea the number. The 35 mentioned was for the original Catt. Turns out there are many more of them as well growing outside as well as in GH.
John, Some of them have been growing a LONG time. These are the survivors and progeny of the few that were left in 1976 after the Los Angeles Arboretum took two large truckloads donated by the previous owner. Then there were 3 DILAPIDATED GHs that he used in the corsage trade.
Becky, My wife and my friend/neighbor who is a contractor worked together in design and building. I was the gofer/supply orderer. This GH replaced, and is smaller than, the last of the 3 original GHs. Only the foundation wall was original.

Thanx for the nice comments--it really is a nice place to spend some time.

    Carl
