Hi derek, I also need lots of patience to water my plants. I built a help - a big tray and adapted a hose for drainage, then I water the plants and the water is dripping for a bucket near. Some of them I do not need to withdraw anymore from their places when watering. It helps a lot

For a moment there i thought i read, Growing Windows hehehehe.
Anyways this is really a nice setup. You must have a lot of patience watering them. I have
a few indoors and they get watered weekly, so i understand how it feels like.

I bet it would be hard to have something like this when kids and pets are around as the
plants might get thrown off the edge of the table.

This is really inspiring... thanks for sharing.

UPDATE! I just had to go and get myself a lot of orchids over the past two weeks. These nurseries are really thinning out their stocks, discounting everything with winter coming on. It looks like they wanna close a greenhouse or two each.

Anywho, I was out of space and it was time to redo the whole setup. Plus the angle that light comes in my windows changes as the seasons change, so I have to move everything at least twice a year anyhow. Added several more hanging plants too, part of the orchid project I am currently working on.

Very nice! Always amazing to see how many plants can be crammed in one spot and still have room for more. My orchids would be competing with my cats for the window so I keep them further back. Maybe I should hang a few plants...

The light is still changing. This is only the second fall/winter I've had so many plants, and based on my ever shrinking window space, more hanging and better use of the small windows has become necessity. This is the current setup. Added shelves to other windows, I have several more hanging baskets to add still to this window, and several other baskets have gone up in the small windows.

Wow, nice set up! I love your iron stair step shelf on the desk...cuz i've got two just like it in my front living room. I'd fill my front window too, but the husband thinks he's supposed to be able to actually SEE out the windows for some reason! lol
