Cool my windows and grow room

I have 2 windows I can grow things in. Both south side exposure with an overhang so they don't get full sun but bright indirect light. They don't seem to mind. They stay in the warm room in day and move into the cool room at night the paphs do

I like to play my piano and look at my plants. I think they like the music too cus they wiggle when I play

    The Warm Room

I also like to look at my plants when I sit in the front room.

    Cool room

I have some in a closet I put a light in . The high light stuff like my Catts (only 3 left) Maxillarias (2) Dendrobiums (3) and 1 vanda thats about to hit the trash can stay in when theres not much light coming in.Yeah I chase the light around the house. But anything I have can go on the middle shelf..the bottom shelf pretty much became the waterfall stand and otherwise useless. My next build will be better suited

    The hot room

Thats pretty much the extent of my total of about 40 sq ft of orchid space. I would like more orchids eventually but I'm finding out they can become a lot of work for one person. I have just about reached my manageable limits with a nice even 100 orchids.

Kelly, you do have a very nice grow area and collection. In your second photo you have some very nice larger paph.s on the bottom shelf. What type are they ? All of your plants do look very happy. Thanks for the photos, Rich

I used to think 100 was a good number...now that I have more and don't give them such attention they bloom alot better. lol I had to learn to neglect them. I love the closet set up and am very tempted to do that in the front "spare" bedroom. For some reason though my husband didn't take to the idea like I did. lol You have some nice set ups!

Great organization and thoughtful placement shows in these photos. The orchids/plants look so healthy and robust. I have been told that orchids/other plants prefer classical music. Is this true? AL
