Exceptional garden and your orchids look vibrant and beautiful. The small pool adds a sense of tranquility to this picture. The Best In The New Year ! AL

    Mabuhay!

@martin....i am really at awe with your garden setup and to think that you rarely use fertilizers and water sparingly.....simply incredible. I can't stop looking at your pictures.
I wonder if you have experienced "heat wave"? In my country, especially around April we would experience this phenomena. It's one of the reason why some of my orchids died.

How about pests? Do you spray pesticides? May i know your gardening regimen? since every plant seems very very healthy. I love it.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Godbless

    hi mojamoja,

Under normal circumstances, the dry spell comes from march to april. That when we need to do watering. However this year we have an El Nino phenomeno, it was so dry from Mid Dec2009 to mid march 2010. And from march onward till now , it rains almost every other day.

I do not use pesticides and fungicides . Most of the orchids I grow are local species, so they do quite well after established themself on the branches. At the early stage , shade is very important. Try it on your mango tree . Try not to use the malunggay as you may not provide enough shade and the branches are easily broken.

Gardners Paradise Martin ! I too am trying to grow my Dendrobiums on the mango tree !
I read online that mango bark may have tannins that are harmful to orchid roots .. but your pictures prove that wrong . Thank You .
