I see nothing but healthy, happy Vanda's and some of them are huge. I am sure those mature plants really put out the blooms. From what I have heard from many (not all) Florida orchid growers you would definitely be a step ahead by having a nice winterized, shade house. You could depending on how far you want be able to change the environment inside this structure, be able to grow more orchids on a intermediate temperature basis and control the light more of course. Also if the freeze's continue in Florida like last year, your still going to have happy plants! AL

Nice vanda collection, the location for the new shadehouse, sounds pretty good. Do you grow any in vases?

Growing Vanda's in vases is very nice. At least I do it that way, but when you have such a great shadehouse I would not do it like that.

I guess you do not need to grow in vases. With such a great shadehouse it is not necesarry. I would love to have such a shadehouse.
