    I had a small backyard to begin with. I too the point of no backyard. I will not need to have it mowed...just weed wacked.
    Thank you Carol. I think my success with vanda types is attributed to realizing they are heavy feeders, liberal dousings of seaweed kelp extract, keeping them well hydrated by knowing when the roots are truly drenched and high light coupled with air movement.

    Cathy I think your being very wise in your ideas for your shade house. It has taken me a while to realize just how much light the Vanda's need. I can see now that you are going to have fantastic plants that love you! AL

    Thanks Yew! Yes, it is sanderiana. It missed blooming last year. I was so happy when it decided to spike this fall.

    BTW: there is a couple of photos of an old cross: V. JVB x V. Johnny Miller, just starting to bloom. I know you like the semi teretes.
