John, those are great! Thank you so much for sharing your greenhouse with us. Do you run air conditioning in there?

Oooh...this is so cool. I esp love the Laelia Pacavia.

Out of curiosity, how large is your greenhouse, and abt how many orchids do you have in there?

    Thanks everyone.

    Regarding the questions:
    1. I do not use air conditioning to cool down the greenhouse. During the summer I have misters set up to a timer to provide cooling and extra humidity. There is an exhaust fan set to start at 85F to help prevent the interior from overheating.
During the winter, I keep all the windows and doors closed, and cover any gaps as much as I can and then set up an oil heater to try and keep the interior above 60F at night.

    2. Greenhouse dimensions: It is 16 feet long by 8 feet wide. It is about 8 feet at the tallest point, so it is a relatively small greenhouse.

    3. I have stopped counting orchids at 100 I think this greenhouse has about 150 orchids. The shadehouse which is my other structure, has another 30 of the bulkier orchids (cymbidiums and reed stem epidendrums) and bletillas that need winter exposure.
