    Maura:
You did a great job and all the plants look very nice. I see you have some containers with water and that provides a good humidity. My guess is that you will have a nice "PRIMAVERA" with lots of blooms.

Thank you, Bruce. I've been working with bonsai A LOT longer than orchids, but couldn't imagine not having either. The real large trees were a legacy from my dad. Most of my bonsai could be held in one hand.. They're fun, but lately I've been considering rehoming the largest, as its getting to be a chore to move around and work on.

    Hi Maura,

I envy your "greenhouse not greenhouse" i have tried it in my room with Phals but i must confess im not successfull with that, some have acquired rot even if they were circulated by fan and in a humidity tray(improvised). congrats.

Thanks, Jeffrey - I guess those photos made it look as if those areas are a lot more organized than they are - and there are usually trays of orchids being tended to on the floor as well.

As for the rot on your phals, have you checked whether you're leaving a little water on top - in the "crown" of the leaves when you water? Crown rot is one of the easiest and deadliest threats to phals. You may well know this, but I thought I'd mention it - it's happened to me and a lot of others.

Dear Maura- I'm so with Bob... you have wonderful plants. healthy, clean, bursting with blooms- practically show-condition- you put me to shame, woman! And that Angraecum there, looking so happy, and the gorgeous Catts, and- I could go on. I know it may not be a walk in the park, but the results do you proud. I have a 4mX4m conservstory with two solid walls, adjustable shading, thermostatically controlled heating, pots on the shelves, hanging from the roof, from the walls, and all I can do is whine about my LACK of facilities. And... next to yours, my orchids actually look neglected! Don't you think I shoul pull my finger out and just grow up!? Respect, Maura!
