May I add that although we live in the tropics, this does not mean that everything is always fair and beautiful. In fact, we here are more at a risk here in this part of the world to natural weather disturbances like typhoons and the like. Perhaps not so much in Malaysia and Indonesia but for example here in the Philippines, since we are situated at the very outer edge exposed to the Pacific Ocean .... the Philippines is often the first to get bombarded by those disastrous typhoons. We are in the open .... and indirectly, in some way we act as a "shield" as a first line of defense for our neighboring SE asian countries like Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia ... we have no choice as this is the way our country, the Philippines is situated in the SE Asian region.

    Cheers!

So despite our tropical weather, we have to fend off some other more or less disastrous climactic events as they come.

On the orchids, just regular weekly fertilizer but I am always on the look out for snails, slugs, thrips, mites, yellow beetle...the list goes on and on . Nowadays I do selected/spot insecticide/fungicide spray. Just started to use Neem oil for pest prevention and control. Watering..twice during hot days. Thanks all for looking and commenting .
