Thanks everyone for your kind words!
catttan, this is the dendrobium you like, a thin stem varation of dendrobium crystallinum. I am still confused about this species. The thick stem variation will bloomsoon and I will show you.

Really love species dendrobes..I was offered a tobaense recently but the vendor wanted RM250 for the blooming size plant so I told him where to stick it...He had a number of very interesting dendrobes including one which looked a little like a primulinum but wasnt and which he claimed was an unnamed species from PNG..anyway he wanted RM180 for it..I walked away!

Your vendor is a real 'cut-throat'. Recently one of our vendors here brought in a lot of blooming dendrobes (the ones you see Canh posting) costing between MR 15 - 80. Granted some were bare root but some were nicely mounted or in baskets. I just bought a few species recently - the most recent(yesterday) was a blooming size Rhy gigantea 'blue' (MR 80 the most expensive); a very well grown mounted Seidenfadenia mitrata (just finished blooming)for MR 25 and 2 Rhy gigantea 'Red' and 'Spots' (small; 2 pairs of leaves measuring 3 inch in length) for MR 10 each. NB US $1 = MR 3.1.
