Love the bonsai! (Especially the one in the second photo top left.)
The scary thing, Pavel, is that Phillip and I are considering a move to a larger living space and more room outside. Yipes!!!!!

Thank you, Branka! That's high praise from you, indeed! We do, in fact, live on a lovely lake, and enjoy our privacy here greatly. However, our collection of bonsais and orchids is beginning to outgrod the space we have, and we may move to a home with more inside and outside areas.

Maura, nice collection and "VERY CLEAN/NEAT" growing space.

As for the heron, I am glad he moved there.
Since I live by the Columbia River, which divides Washington and Oregon, the herons are everywhere. As a matter of fact, they ate Mike's Koi collection overnight one time about 5 years ago. Since then, he put fish lines all over the Koi pond so that the herons cannot fly in. Once in a while, a heron lands on the roof and watches them.

I keep telling him to put a Greenhouse over it so that we can both enjoy our hobbies.......

Maura it looks amazing. I am in love with your sit-out, it must be so relaxing to watch the nature at the lake. Your orchid grow area reminds me of the days at the hostel during my masters when my room looked very similar to your grow area. BY the way I liked those chests very much cute little wardian cases.

Such a picturesque retreat you and phillip have Maura. Something to reward each of your senses. Do agree with privacy, always been priority. It will be difficult to trade that location in.

very inspiring grow areas must spend hours pottering about atleast out of mischief anyway. Beautiful synchronised co existence with the bonsais and orchids. These visuals are the very reason i dont have a TV. The heron though, I was harassed continually by one of these at my previous address, kept gobbling up all my frogs in the wildlife setting. I did admit defeat i was the imposter.

Very homely warm and cosey residence, how many times have you heard visitors remark on the triffid invasion. Some people just dont get it. Have bought my first point and shoot BTW not to disimilar to the one you linked me to I printed off the pic and asked for similar/ closest match!. Cant do me grow area yet though with lots of seed propagation going on, the usual 10 weeks of chaos as jack frost remains a threat!

Thanks so much, Amey! We love our view of the lake - it's completely private and very quiet. We also get to watch the birds - cardinals and woodpeckers
mostly - we'll have hummingbirds during the summer, too. The only problem, really, is that we need MORE SPACE! The Wardian cases you noted are little glass houses, which I am going to plant with mini-phals, ferns, and ivy. The ends of the roof are open for air circulation.

    Hi Matt -

Thank you for the kind words about my home - you certainly nailed it on the head. I'm so glad you picked up a point- n-shoot and am looking forward to some photos of your orchids,

I have no idea what "triffids, are , though - can you explain? And I don't have any red impostor mites, so I guess I consider myself lucky.

Good luck with all those seedlings - a big responsibility to be sure.
