Default My greenhouses as of July 2012

Hi all ! This year mother nature has been good, we have had a hot summer followed by a good spell of monsoon (not in my city though, but as long as the dams are full I am happy As the temperatures drop back to the mid 20s to 30s many of the orchids begin growing and soon flowering, here are some snaps from my Ghs, I have spotted so many inflorescences and buds that I am super excited.

That's all good, one in particular caught my attention is the Tulasi. Its massive! Unlike the feeble Basil we have in the west that doesn't grow woody stems (only if one's lucky). Khoob Chhan Aahe!

Thanks Gurjeet, the holy basil is also a special variety called kali tulas in Marathi or Krishna tulas. It has a very strong scent.
