    Default Indoor Growing Area

Well it is good to be back growing orchids again. I still have the same lights I had from before. Five 48" T-5 fluorescent & two 24" T-5's. A 6 mil poly vapor barrier over the ceiling and over the wood paneling back wall. Diamond Foil reflective backing on the back wall only. A common vaporizer to add humidity and two shower curtains to hold in the added humidity. I still need one more fan to be happy. My biggest challege was trying find something to use as curtain rod? Walking around the home improvement store, I saw a bent piece of 1/4" x 10' all thread rod. That was the ticket. Getting that into my car was fun. Now I just need to work out the the timers for the vaporizer. Humidity went from 28% to 80% in 12 mins. Then back down to 40% a half hour later. Have Fun, Rich

    Default Updated Photos-Grow Area

Well as you can see I have added two more vaporizers and a couple more fans into the mix. Now I can go almost two days before having to refill the vaporizers with water. I run them of half a hour, 15 min. break, then the next one half hour and so on. I still have room for more plants. I wil have to wait for the weather to warm up before have plants shipped in. I lost the battle with the mealy bugs. Most of the phal. that I rescued have been trashed.

    Have Fun, Rich
