Question: I noticed that the orchids on the bench sit on a wire grid, on what I believe to be, clay pellets. What is the purpose of doing this?

    Hi Chris
The clay pallets absorb some water so i can keep humidity levels a little higher
In addition i mist every 8 hours and spray the floor 1 once a day. All together I try to keep humidity above 60%

Phimax, two thumbs up! What temps do you maintain in the greenhouse in the summertime/wintertime? Daytime/night? Is it a Coelogyne cristata hanging from the ceiling in one of the pics? (Getting ready to buy one, so trying to learn everything I can about them).

Cattleyas produce more and bigger flowers.

Look forward to what spring has for influence when everything really starts to grow.
