This is a new purchase: Brassocattleya Star Ruby (B. nodosa X C. batalinii). Pretty little thing.

Oncidiums are doing pretty well in my backyard conditions. This is the first one I got, a sweet sugar, about two years ago, and it blooms about twice a year. This was last Jan's blooms.

    Mabuhay!

WOW!!! going all naturale!!!! LOVELY!!! Aside from the fact of attaching orchids to trees, i love the idea of growing local species of plants. now that's what i call a "gold plan". Congratulations and keep up the good work.

Some happenings in the yard: this pup I got in 2010 when I first moved here was growing happily until I had to trim the tree back. It is getting scorched now, and it was only March.

Kind of lost control at the Redland International Orchid Festival. The haul:
    Den. moschatum
    Maxillaria tonuifolia
    Renanthera Kalsom 'Red Dragon'
    Blc. Toshie Aoki 'Starburst'
    Vanda Amy
    Phal. schilleriana
    Dendrochillum wenzelii 'yellow'
    Bc. Myrtle Sammy
    Cymbidium dayana
    Rhyncholaelia digbyana
    Bulbophyllum bicolor
    Den. amabile
If anybody has any experience growing any of these outside in subtropical conditions feel free to chime in with suggestions.
