I suppose I could get rid of the table and the hutch and perhaps knock out a wall while I'm at it.

Nice display. It's a magnificent addiction - why should anyone give it up?

For me it was removing the doors to the closet of the 2nd bedroom/grow room. They are very happy living in the alcove.

You know, that we are enablers for each others orchid issue.

I found myself looking at paphs because I didn't know what they are and to see if they would indeed fit this shelf which I "could" lower if need be. By doing this I'm keeping this area from taking up more space thus proving that I'm in control!.

Of course if I "did" find something it may need a companion because I once heard that someone said plants have feelings and whether I agree with this or not I should probably error on the side of humanity, the Orchid G-ds or something, but this is my rationalization and you can't use it!!!

In all seriousness the bantering is fun and YOUR idea does have merit. I could add a couple of things without impacting my space and more importantly my wife's present support of me.

I've spent the last several days searching and reading about proper care, etc., and know that I need to learn a lot more before acquiring more Orchids. The few that I have will teach me about my progress.

Having said this I will confess that I have begun thinking about what if I did this or changed that, etc. Nothing to drastic just a few minor modifications that would allow for a few more Orchids should I desire them. Thinking about how to create a suitable environment is entertaining and educational for me even if it doesn't come to pass. But again my needs at the moment are to learn how to properly care for the few I have. Heck I haven't even had my first "crisis" yet. Rest assured you will see me posting "HELP" when I do.

Thanks for your friendly replies and good natured banter!
