Peter, Want me to send you some lotus seeds???

OA789, that is a banana tree....we bring it in to the basement ,with its roots wrapped in burlap and lay it on it's side....kind of hibernates We have had bananas 2 years...they are fascinating to watch form...if it blooms this year I will take a picture. Thanks , we don't reallly have a color scheme...we try and plant for the butterflys, and birds!

PrettyBug, Yes, we have frogs!!! Lots of frogs, but we like them...we had one to catch a bird and eat it!!!! That was a sight to see! We named him Billy Bob!

Oh...we only have one resident frog, the others come and go as spawning happens. Most of the babies either get eaten by the fish, killed by the lawnmower or eaten by birds. We had a blue heron come by at the end of last summer and eat all of our fish. The dang fish were about 6 in. long. Quite a snack don't you think? He did leave a handful of babies, maybe about 10 of them, but they were tiny and we didn't think that they would make it through the winter. They did though, so it was a good thing. Oh...and some wierd unknown person made a contrabution to our pond without our notice. They added two goldfish into our pond. We don't know who did it or where they came from...but at least they have a good home.

I am coveting your lotus plant.

We had one that the dogs chewed to bits, and given the cost of those, I didn't want another repeat of the same fiasco. So I'll enjoy yours vicariously! You have a gorgeous piece of property, Gilda.

Love the koi/goldfish (they're all the same anyway). Any bass under those lily pads?

Pete, I don't know! Hee hee, that was just how *I* interpreted it! I suppose if she sent you seeds you could do whatever you wished with them...
