Sigh, may I cry on your shoulders? Last week my toilet started running continuously. It's the original one in the master bath. The house was built in 1979... called the plumber and $198 late, toilet fixed. Then last night I realized the furnace did not come on. (It's been in the 40's at night here). This is the furnace I bought 18 months ago. The repair guy showed up and said it was the something-or-other motor. Good news is the part is under warranty, bad news is it has to come from Tennessee and won't be here till Tuesday at the earliest. (and the labor I will have to pay for, $500). I'd drown my sorrows in some good red wine or some fine tawny port, but I am going through some significant medical treatment - and NO ALCHOHOL ALLOWED. And I broke the spike on the Temptation.

I'll have the wine for you...OMG...I always carry a cleaning/repair contract on my furnace. It covers these situations and they will come 24/7 to deal with things for me. I think I pay $300 or so a year for this contract. Usually, if I am going to have furnace problems it is usually during sub zero weather.

At least you now have the 3 under your belt.

Ah Diane--that's just rotten! Must mean three GOOD things are coming your way soon. I was excited that the Temptation I got from you was spiking, but just took another look and I think it blasted. Sigh.

You know, they are funny, don't give up hope. Mine took forever to come up out of the little sheath. Then it shot up like a rocket.

If I didn't live in Cleveland i would have fixed your broken toilet and furnace. Overnight in the 40's here is considered pretty warm. I open my windows overnight for that! BTW, I broke the spike on a Phal that I picked up in a grocery store the other day. I realized it right away. It had 4-5 unopened buds on the distal portion of the inflorescence. I immediately wrapped it with blue masking tape and it is doing fine! Don't ask me why, but i must have "fixed" it before repair began! It will only get better!!!
