    Default Thanks guys!

I went to radio shack, and they tried to sell me a $17.00 cord and a $3.00 attatchment! I however have decided to put to use all of the random adapters from small electronic equipment we have lying aropund.(old cd player/ walkman/ noise machines) For some reason we seem to collect them and keep them. Kind of like old keys you find in a drawer. You don't want to throw 'em out, could be useful one day. Well I'm makin 'em useful! Thanks for the info and pics! I'll post my progress when I get there.
    Peace,
    Tadd

    Default newly built grow shelves

Hi, your set-up looks outstanding!! I was wondering how many tubes per shelf do you use? You might want to try the 'Full Spectrum 'tubes (Agro). They cost a lot more. In my use of them I found that if you have your paphs too close they will burn the leaves! My paphs are therefore grown much farther from the ltubes with very good results. I use the same type of bulbs for my mini catts. I just move these plants closer to the lights. Ed

Default I have thought about the upgrade.

Still undecided on wether I need the better bulbs or not. Most of collection is paphs and some phals. I currently run 2 - 40 watt 4' hoods with 2 lights each per shelf (so 4 lights per shelf.) I will let you know if I do upgrade. I might as well buy a 400 watt MH for the price of 12 agros

    Default Muffin Fans

The muffin fans and CPU fans are plentiful on Ebay. Watch the shipping costs, though...

Tadd, that set-up looks sweet. :lemmetell What are the measurements of the wood you used? I'm looking for something to build against my window, also, and that looks perfect! Storage bins...yeah, great idea. Where'd you get the gravel?

If you are planning on just growing low light plants your setup is fine. HID lights run very hot and need an exhaust fan just for the lights fixture. You might want to check to make sure that your electical circuit will handle the HID lights, fans, ect. Ed

    Default My Current measurements are...

I used 2x4's for the frame. It is 6 ft tall, 18 inches deep and 50 inches wide. I then used pine fir strips of 1x2 inches cut into strips for shelving material. I got my gravel at box store and Lowes.
