    Too late for tonight's dinner, next time you can try Spanishtapa. I do this on stove instead of oven:

    Pour and heat oilve oil in a small sauce pan (better if you have clay tapa dish), enough oil to cover the pan;
    Sprinkle into the oil pan: minced garlic (2-3 cloves), red pepper flakes;
    Add shrimp to the pan;
    Season it with salt, and fresh grounded black pepper, and cook shrimp until it's nice pink color;
    Upon serve, you can squeeze some fresh lemon juice on the shrimp

    Many thanks! I'd forgotten about the grill - and the griller. I'll get Darwin on this on right away.

    Thanks also Liz and Cookie; I like the easy kind of recipes.

    I suggest renting "Forest Gump" -- Bubba surely has some ideas. "fried shrimp, shrimp gumbo, BBQ shrimp, . . .

    Seriously though--I love epicurious.com. They have incredible recipies for nearly everything under the sun. I haven't had a bad one yet. Good luck -- and yes, do tell how you ended up with 40 pounds of left-over shrimp.

    LOL - I forgot about Forrest Gump. Loved the movie, bought the cookbook! Good idea, Sadie. Epicurious is a neat recipe site.

    Not much of a story about the shrimp. A friend of a friend has a shrimp boat and the fish markets only offer him about $1.50/# for his catch. So he offers his shrimp to his friends first. At $3/# how can you NOT buy all you can get?? Between all of us we bought his entire catch from two trips. We be sum shrimp eatin' fools 'round here. Saturday we are having the shrimp on the barby kebabs, bang-bang shrimp and maybe some boiled shrimp or Frogmore stew if the kids come over for the game. Roll Tide!

    GinnyLou, you win the prize for the best shrimp shedding idea!
