    Default cute story

My 18 year old son came to me today and said he wanted to cook a meal for his girlfriend for Valentine's Day. We planned a menu...he did the shopping...I gave him basic instructions and only one call from him while my wife was out to dinner. He called her phone but asked for me...wanted to know what setting to fry the chicken at and what temp to bake the finished chicken parm. He set the table nicely and had candles lit. He asked if he could borrow a bottle of wine...that request I did refuse.

My oldest cooked her boyfriend bacon and pancakes for breakfast and he was to cook her dinner tonight.

Sounds like your 18 year old is getting ready for 'business' with the home-cooked meal and wine request.

    Cheers,

LOL, Ron - you should have allowed him the bottle on the table, as long as he didn't uncork it!

You should have refilled the bottle with grape juice and given it to him just to watch his chin drop.

Chicken parm can be quite challenging for a beginning cook!

It is a favorite around our home and he has seen either me or my wife prepare it many times, over the years. I prefer if the breasts are partially frozen so I can cut them thinner before flattening them but he didn't have the time for that and my concern was that he would slice his hand in that process.
He did a good job. I ate his left over chicken parm the following day
