Thanks so much for your encouragement. This has been so exciting for me. Lots of people complimented but several talked to me about what they liked and what looked 'off', and that was so helpful. It was a wonderful experience. Here is the painting I sold today. I used and old 1950's Hawaii travel brochure picture that was in my parents (now passed) things as a guide. Sorry for the poor picture quality; the mountains have oranges and greens and turquoise colors in them. The other painting is the granddog Dottie that I painted for her mama.

    Default Congratulations.

I have always admired/envied people who can do this.

Too bad I abandoned my own interests in painting and creative writing.

But I guess the spirit is showing up in photography, lol....

Thanks to all for your encouragement. And Nelson, it is never too late to start again. I just started painting a year ago (I'll be the big 5-0 this fall - whoohoo!). It is almost as theraputic as orchids LOL!
