This one was held in a different city than the last one I attended. This one was a much bigger one. (In fact many of the buildings here are permanent structures even though it is only used for Renaissance Festival for part of the summer.) The weather wasn't as cooperative this time -- rained off and on. Still had a good time though.
Only got to a couple of shows this time but they were the ones that are generally the most entertaining to see.
Dead Bob (though his routine wasn't as good this time as the last time I saw him)
The Washing Well Wenches (fun as always)

Cool !!!!!
Very interesting, Pavel. First time I've heard of the Renaissance Festival. Is it anything to do with the Renaissance period in Europe? Looking at the medieval garb etc it very well could.
In Malaysia we have the Rain Forest Music Festival in Sarawak featuring ethnic music groups from all over the world. Haven't attended one yet but from all accounts a hit with local and overseas visitors.
Heheh... Looks like fun - especially the 'Washing Well Wench Show'.
Cheers,

Renaissance Festivals also take place in California. Have been to some. Fun as people dress up in costumes of the period and set up workshops as close to what things must have been like in those times, including dances, music, hairstyles etc. This goes on for a week or longer, esp. in summer.
Thanks Pavel!
Is very intresting and funy!

Indeed it is, Yew Sung. While all the vendors dress up in Medieval garb, many more of those you will see dressed up are simply people attending the festival. Entertainments are geared to be of the types one would have seen during that period.
That sounds like something that would be fun/interesting to attend! If you happen to go someday, be sure to post your evaluation.![]()
