Here it is in my garden now...

Pics show one of many clumps of Hellebores - I have many different colours : a bed with the Moroccan Iris sp. (unguiculatum, I think, before the latest name changes ) and Cyclamen, Dorset heather, and the first tulip species to flower for me ; Daphne - I think this ione is Josephine Post - very sweet scented - before the sea- breeze got up I could get the scent from 50 yards off ;and one of several pots of tulips which I lwill put in fron of the house when they are out a bit more, replacing the winter pansies which are there now.

We do have an early Spring , as I amy have said before, this is the kindest climate in England, apart perhaps from one or two deep river valleys in the extreme west of the country - and they get all the Atlantic gales, which we are sheltered from.

I'm not "lucky" here - I chose this spot when I retired, after doing my homework at the Meteorological Office !

Thanks, Yew, That was a pic. from two yrs. ago, but it looks the same now...only more flowers. We had over 100 hrs. of below freezing in the beginning of February; that made the bulbs come up a little later this year. Betty :-)

I really like your woodland property Betty. Those Daffodils are a great herald of spring. We still are expecting (by weather forecast ) a bit more winter here in New Mexico, but at least nothing dramatic. Again love those flowers! AL

I am glad Geoff that you live in what we call over here a 'banana belt'. We would usually have a false spring here in New Mexico where trees of certain varieties, etc. bud out, but not this year. You see few springtime flowers here (arid climate), unless in a rare year nature provides rain and resulting wild flowers. I enjoy seeing your spring blooms! AL

Wow, Geoff, I'd give my eye teeth for such garden right now, so very beautiful. And your Betty, is a really show stopper. It seems that Paul has to open a new spring thread soon
Well, I'm posting a few pics I made today during the walk through the gorge below our Alps and I inviting you to see an ice fairy tale. Something beautiful is in these giant ice mass: glacier falls are diverse artwork. Those who are seen as a powerful winter beams frozen water (almost a pillar of the winter, often hundreds of meters) in the summer is only dripping water.
There are many climbers with proper equipment and experience - the pleasure of theirself and the viewer.
And you were right Geoff, the spring is comming, also to us under the Alps: just on the end of my trip I found the herald of spring - Hellebore.

Exactly my thoughts! Looking forward to seeing that bud turn in to a bloom!
