How unfortunate, Tony. Sounds like your wife taught your kids her phobia. (Phobias often have roots in learned behavior.) You should try out a baby A. veriscolor. Many arachnophobes have been converted by them. (It's hard to work up a "good" fear over a little bright blue spider.)


I wouldn't mind getting back into them at all, but with all the rest of my hobbies that the lovely wife has to put up with, I think its best to cut my losses and stay arachnidless! As much as I enjoyed the little guys, I was never of big fan of having to keep pinhead crickets for their meals.
