Default New Year's Resolutions: Please post yours!

    My New Year's Resolutions:

Unload most of the non-vanda types and many of the too many blue colored vandas. I'm going to keep a few species Catt types and a couple of hybrids. I will keep the few Phal species I have. All the rest are going. I'm going to try and stay focused on what I really like and quit buying "willy nilly" on a whim. I am going to put all money into a large screened room with polycarbonate roofing panels.

redesign my growing area, what started as an outdoor sitting space with some orchids for color, has become a growing area that you're lucky to find a place to sit, plus I've been trying to grow everything under the same shade cloth so my vandas are crowded on the outer edges. I've ordered the new shade cloth so all I need is that first wave of inspiration to start making the changes.

I am determined to get rid of my dendrobiums except for two I particularly like. I need more room for paphs and phrags which I have started focusing on. I also need to cutback on catts as they taking up too much space. That is my plan but a lot can change between now and 2013. LOL

Cutback on cattleyas, hybrid dendrobiums (except the Formosae type),large vandas ( except semi-teretes),all Oncidium types. Will now focus on Paphs, heat-tolerant Cymbidiums, mini vandas and species dendrobiums.

I'm looking more vandas species especially from Indonesia and Dendrobium species too from S.E.A and from South America Cochleanthes alliances, certain rare orchids species which is heat tolerance that can blooms in my house.

I can help anyone who is trying to thin out their orchid collection by kindly offering them a new home
I think for 2013 any new purchases will have to be mini's along with any jewels I can find room for. I need to replace my lights and reorganize my stand or just get another. Would like to get a couple more orchid books to read up on and have on hand.

    I'm going with Bruce!

My resolution hs already been shot. I had resolved not to buy anymore Catts. on impulse. Didn't have anymore space.
This morning a friend called and enquired whether I had any white Catts. Yellow lip with a touch of purple in the throat, floofy 61/2 inch span. The plant is a large speciemen plant than could be devided into 2 good sized plants. They did say the name but I don't remember if I heard it before I said I am coming to collect on Saturday.!!!!!!
So thats that, I am going to concentrate on smiling more and laughing at my orchid addiction!! Amen
