Hmmm Doesn't that violate some postal regulation about sending hazardous materials through the mail??? Watch out McJ, the feds could be showing up instead of a mouse head...

geepers... who would have thought that a pleasant friday morning with raisin toast and a cup of tea could be so cruelly disposed of by a fresh head of mouse!

    Thanks McNortie!!!

Still that's better than what my pups give me as a present... ie half a decapitated Dendrobium speciosum... aaaargh!!!

    Ewwww. That is nasty.

Ok, I had an outside cat back home in Texas that would bring snakes, birds, moles, and mice to the back door all the time. It was really weird. Guess she really liked us.

    Cheers!

This thread is hilarious!!! The mooning pictures are just too funny. And Diane, you truely had a hilarious experience; I'm still laughing and so is Darwin.

I dress like an onion one year. Brown tights for the roots, stuffed sheet for the body and green fabric on a wire 'crown' on my head. I took some scallions and left them in a baggie in the sun all day and then tucked them into my costume. Won the costume contest; the judge my costume I brought tears to his eyes!

As for kittie presents, Buds was a hunter. She brought me half a rabbit once and half a snake another time. She brought a live blue jay in through the cat door and let it go in the house on my birthday. I thought it was a neat present until the second or third hour of trying to get him out of the house!
Tinker Toy wasn't much of a hunter. One time I watched him sneak across the yard toward the mailbox. I couldn't see what he was stalking so I just watched. By the time he got to the mailbox he was as flat as a flounder and just quivering with excitement. He never took his eyes off the mailbox. You could see the white rims of eyes as he looked up at the box, and his lips and whiskers quivering as he 'chattered' quietly. He slowly gathered himself to pounce. Finally, he sprang! I had to replace the red flag on the mailbox, but that was a priceless moment! Poor little boy was SO embarrassed.

OK. now I remember why I don't have a cat. None of my dogs have ever brought me half eaten presents although one of my dachsunds did catch a large garden snake once. Ok, in my own defense against all you cat people,
it is my husband that has never wanted a house cat. I would love one, a big lazy yellow tabby. Most of my neighbors have cats and they spend a lot of time in my back yard hunting lizards. The other day my Shih Tzu found a desert tortoise in our yard. After giving him some fresh vegetables and water we found a home for him. Hmmmmm, what was this thread originally about?
