just to clarify, boardies and jandels are board shorts, surfers wear them heaps, and jandels are what you mite call thongs i think......something weird like that.....anyway, they are a shoe that consists of a foam sole and rubber straps that sit between your big toe and second toe.

yes, alittle bit i suppose......we do new year fireworks at mt maunganui every year, and we actually let them off.........6 inch mortar for the starshells, and usually 500 shot cakes and displays last for about half an hour, and we fire them electronically. This year, i wont be going, because we are going to paihia at the top of the north island, and we will be on a little barge with nothing to do for the whole day! so we wont get to see the new 15 inch mortar starshells go off =(

tpbm likes apple juice with ice and ginger beer, with a mint leaf garnish on a hot summers day.

No definitely not ready. I haven't even decorated at all yet (simply have not had the time or energy), which has really had a retarding effect on my Christmas spirit/mood. For me there is some deep seated correlation between whether I decorate or not and my Christmas spirit.

Nope, no snow here in Texas. It can't seem to decide if it wants to be 70*f or 40 degrees, but we've only been at/below freezing a handful of nights this year.
