No, but I am drinking wine...does that count?

TPBM just ran to their local big box store for some rope, and had an intergeneric orchid from their wish list follow them home!!!

False - We don't have box stores here that sells orchids..and intergeneric?....hmmm....unless it Psychopsis X Phalaenopsis X Phiaus X Paphipedilum.

TPBM is wondering what else is there to do today except staring at the blooming flower buds.

False. It's very nearly true because I am a gentleman of leisure now. But there are no buds in the garden in January and as a newbie to orchid growing, not one of them has any buds or spikes on yet. I'm still living in hope. And I don't like potted standard plants.

TPBM thinks that the only thing worth growing is orchids. Everything else comes from the supermarket.

False, I do love growing aquatic plants too. Especially Cryptocorynes.

So very true!!! However, with a 3 and 5 year old I don't see it happening.

TPBM is looking forward to spring.

YES! I am on sabbatical from my work this spring so, between projects, I hope to spend lots of time in the greenhouse getting my plants back in a more healthy state. They have gone neglected for the last couple of years with everything going on in my life, so yes, I am looking forward to some orchid repotting this spring.

    Cheers,
    BD

TPBM: made some homemade soup/stew recently. (I did and it was sure good.)

True! I practically live on homemade soup in the Winter. And a nasty winter it has been this year!
TPBM keeps a stash of chocolate in the house for "emergencies".

True!!!! I always have chocolate around. With the snow storm going on I had the urge for homemade fudge and have a big pan cooling right now.
TPBM just placed an order for some special orchids that they have been wishing for for a long time.
