True. A long time in my book anyway. When I decided to try orchids again, after my 4 years ago trauma, one of the first ones I saw was an Odontoglossum 'Remember Violetta' and fell in love. But I was told that Odontog's are very difficult to care for so I put it on the back burner. Now I've found that this one is a 'not too difficult' hybrid that a beginner can have a go at. So I ordered one yesterday from my Bulgarian supplier. Should be here within 2 weeks.

TPBM has just woken up and is still half asleep and is just on their second (or third) cup of coffee.

I was lucky enough to lead a study abroad tour to France in the spring of 2009 and stayed in Paris for a week. It was really wonderful. I think though, since I have visited there, I would next prefer to take a spring time trip to Germany, or Austria, or Romania, or the Ukraine - some where in that part of the world. I have not traveled there yet and think it would be pretty spectacular to have that opportunity.

    Cheers,
    BD

TPBM has a new favorite audio or otherwise book they are listening/reading at the moment.

True, Collected and read all of Robert Jordan's "wheel of time" collection. A pity he died before he can wrap up the series. As for audio, my favourite right now is Rocketeer by Far East Movement and the latest album by OneRepublic.

TPBM is excited that the Lunar New Year is coming.

From the rate that my Bulbophyllum is flowering, spring should be next door.

TPBM needs to organise his/her thoughts, collect back his/her feelings, reflect what he/she has done and then look forward for the future (that is what i really need to do right now)...

False. I do like dahlias but mainly as a cheap fill-in for bare areas of the garden in high summer. I never get more adventurous than Bishop of Llandaff and his kids. Maybe I've got some Bishop's kids seed that will produce something weird.

TPBM is dreading all the hard work spring brings in the garden. They just want to sit back and chill with a cold beer.

True! The alarm clock! But with the help of a fresh cup of coffee and a gaze at blooming orchids I got over it.

TPBM has over 50 house plants in their home (I do, and thats NOT counting all the orchids either!)
