False - Snow? What's that? Hee! Hee! All I remember about snow is that people flock to Yuma in the winter to avoid it!

TPBM is enjoying the mild weather and enjoying that yard work doesn't have to be done before 7:00 a.m. to avoid heat stroke!

True! We were at my daughter's house with her baby who was born this summer, and I had his big brother come home with me to spend the night before we went back the next day for more fun with the baby. My mother also joined us, so we had four generations in the house - much to give thanks for.

TPBM enjoys Thanksgiving more than the hectic commercialism of Christmas.

False. I LOVE the magic of Christmas and all that goes with it. It is only as commercial as one allows it to be.
TPBM is expecting a large shipment of orchids.

False. I'm trying to behave so I can make Christmas meaningful for the kiddos and grandchildren. I'm not too sure how much they would like it if I brought them over to my house and said, "See this orchid? This is your Christmas present - and you can help me with repotting and watering and all those fun things." I just don't think they're ready for that yet. Now, Santa, on the other hand....

TPBM is getting in the Christmas spirit.

I haven't yet. The weather hasn't really helped. We've had an unusually wimpy November with consistently warmer temps than normal. In way that is quite nice. But snow and cold blustery days help kick me into a Christmas frame of mind. Also I haven't been listening to the radio, nor playing any holiday cds yet. I typically don't do so until Dec. 1st. (But I do carry it through all of January.)

TPBM did not take part in the "Black Friday" craziness.

True. My grandson (Gavin, who will be 7 in January), spent the night with me on Thursday after our family's Thanksgiving dinner. He brought his wallet and told me that he wanted me to take him shopping. He's really interested in Star Wars characters and toys and figured, I guess, that I'd have him put his wallet away and let me pay for the toys - no fool, huh?! But I painted such a horrible picture of Black Friday with stories of people crashing into each other and bumping each other and fighting over the last whatever, that he decided we could stay at home. Later in the afternoon when his mother picked him up, she took him shopping, though, and he told me that he survived just fine.

TPBM is going to a sporting event this weekend - whether you want to or not!

False, unless you count working in a garden centre, Sport!

TPBM had a GREAT xmas raffle at their local OS, and walked away with a few things....
