True. I actually just watched a movie that is based (loosely) on historic fiction, written and directed by one of my favourite writers and directors, Darren Aronofsky. It was "The Fountain"...I've always found his stuff to be riveting, deep and interesting.

And speaking of movies, TPBM has written a screen play (I actually just started writing one...its been years since I've written one).

Especially those books and movies based on American History

I have never written a screenplay but have been working on a book based on the lives of my four great grandmothers, all were early settlers in Ohio.

Katie - I think we must be related. My mom's family were early settlers in Ohio - the 1790's to 1810 time frame is when they moved there. I did a lot of research on her genealogy.

Aye - sorry for the hijack

TPBM loves murder mysteries..... twas a dark and stormy night....

Yes, and playing it on my Irish Whistles. I am currently learning "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" and "Für Elise". I also like smooth jazz. Most any music where it does not pound your brain out AND you can understand the words that are being sung, especially if the words make sense and are not crude.

Here is a link with a picture of the ones I like playing the most. (Drool Alert! )

True! but not for nearly long enough... it was just a stop-over on another trip. I long to come back and look for birds, beasts and orchids!

Unfortunately not, though I have lived in the Phillipines and several US states. Have a number of world destinations I hopw to someday reach but funds would have to improve dramatically I fear. Food, transportation, lodging ... they all add up mighty fast.

TPBM is not a huge fan of modern art.
