Not unless you count the daddy long legs that I used to play with as a lil kid. My dad had a tarantula and it freaked me out!

TPBM doesn't believe that the extent of the current "greenhouse effect" is a part of our planet's normal climate changes/regulation.

False! When everybody is banging on about carbon footprints, they forget that Mount St Helens put far more Cr*p into the atmosphere in 24hrs than we can do in decades!
    TPBM is vegetarian.

and that is only ONE natural event that contributes to atmospheric trash. What about the literal thousands of natural fires and many other volcanoes that are constantly active!!! NATURE HAPPENS and that includes climate changes. In a few years when things start cooling off again they will find something (financially advantageous for sure) to blame it all on.

I loved this thread so much I am going to try resurrecting it... (and if people defy me, I will answer my own questions and bore everyone to death)

FALSE! I have been at exactly 3842m which I believe is 12,604 feet, so didn't quite reach 14,000 ft. This was on the top stage of a two-stage cable car the Aguille du Midi on the approach to Mont Blanc, Chamonix, France. In fact my husband proposed to me up there. Here's a couple of piccies:

This is from the Plan de l'aguille, as the cable car can't go ALL the way to the top in one go.

This is a close up of the top, that you can just see being revealed by the clouds in the above photo:

And finally, one of the many many views I have photos of:

    It was amazing.

So, TPBM went to university, got a degree, and now does not use it at all in their employment.

Alas, no, though I came relatively close ... I've been to the observatory on top of Mauna Kea [a bit over 13 700 ft]

True & False: When I'm teaching, I've made use of my degree but didn't when I sold furniture and, being that I'm unemployed at this time, don't know when I'll be teaching again.

TPBM is not afraid of heights but is afraid of falling. [Which some folks find to be a rather odd dichotomy]

I actually am not afraid of heights, but do fear falling. LOL. Guess that is why it is such a rush on a roller-coaster!

TPBM loves to dance, but rarely goes dancing.

    Cheers,
    BD

God, I LOVE to dance. Throughout high school and college, I took modern and jazz dance. After graduation, however; I rarely go out dancing with my friends. We mostly go out for drinks and when I want to get up and dance, I usually have to do it by myself!

TPBM has a crush on a movie star.
