True, but past tense. I used to make french and sourdough baguettes with a passion. I'd buy the flour in 25 bags! But I was putting on too much weight from the carbs, so I starting baking for all my friends. Then they complained that they were all getting fat and asked me not to give them anymore bread.

    Sniff...I love baking!

TPBM has spent quality time with a toddler in the last few days.

LOL...Julie, I know the feeling about baking...my problem though is I bake for everyone else and I am left with almost nothing!!!

And as for spending quality time with a toddler...that would be a big no...unfortunately...instead it was poodles.

TPBM knows what a Petoskey stone is, and where they are found.

A Petoskey stone is a rock, often pebble-shaped, that is composed of a fossilized coral, Hexagonaria percarinata. The stones were formed as a result of glaciation, in which sheets of ice plucked stones from the bedrock, grinding off their rough edges and depositing them in the northwestern portion of Michigan's lower peninsula.

The name comes from an Ottawa Indian Chief, Chief Pet-O-Sega. The city of Petoskey, Michigan, is also named after him, and is the center of the area where the stones are found. The stones are commonly found on beaches and in sand dunes.

I didn't know before but my curiosity compelled me to look it up.

I too know what one is. But I had a big advantage over Katie -- I've lived in Michigan for the majority of my life. The town I was born in is only about 45 min to an hour away from Petoskey.
