Snow? Is that that white stuff that falls from the sky in some places in the winter? I can understand why you would want to go to Florida or Arizona or California if you live in a snow place. Californians go to Mexico or Central America to warm up in the winter... as I do when I have time and money.

TPBM has a plant that has never bloomed for them but they can't let it go...

More than one actually. Two that immediately come to mind --
Epi/Enc porpax and a brassia hybrid. I've had both for years but haven't been able to get the dumb things to bloom and I'm too stubborn to just get rid of them.

TPBM is planning on attending an orchid show in the next month or two

Not true, I don't really collect, just keep a wish list as I see other's bloom.

Going back to a couple of threads before, yes, I like to vacation in cooler weather since I live in Houston. I tell my husband that it's not vacation to me unless I see a snow capped mountain.

And, I also plan on attending my first ever orchid show in April.

TPBM has started spring planting with vegetables and flower beds

lol, we're obviously on the other side of the world and although it isn't spring, the autumn crops are being planned and the vegetable patch was turned and enriched with compost and other good stuff this morning... want to put another crop of sweet corn in there but worried about the rain spoiling the harvest... on the plus side, chinese cabbages (bok choi) looks good, which is one of the few leafy veges that the caterpillars have not decimated!

TPBM is considering having a picnic this weekend. (we'll be at an outdoor concert at the Zoo listening to Jazz tonight so a picnic will be part of the event! woo hooo..)

TRUE! I've dug and set up a new garden with mini gardenias, firecracker plant, and a purple plum tree. Still more to do in that garden, and planning another nearer the house. Isn't spring FUN??!!

TPBM has already done some spring garden shopping even tho it's too early to plant in their area.
