True I love Primulas in general. They are some of the first things to bloom in my garden come spring. A harbinger of spring!

TPBM is dreading the dark, cold days of winter

YES - so true. I love Spring. Winter and her gray, cold, rainy days can really bring me down. At the end of Fall when things start to die away, I start spending much more time with the orchids because many of the cattleyas we grow bloom during this time of the year. Then by spring, my garden brings me back outside into the sunlight.

    Cheers,
    BD

TPBM has already eaten too many sweets for the holiday season.

I'm rather odd that way -- I really don't mind winter. There is beauty to be found in the ice and snow and even in the stark severity of leafless woods and frozen vistas. Then too, winter makes me appreciate the beauty of fall and spring all the more.

    Define "too many".

TPBM recently bought themselves something they've been wanting for a long time.

True. I bought it last night, and it was a huge cutting mat for my sewing room (I'm a quilter.) Mine warped and I've been waiting for a good sale.

TPBM loves winter. (I love seeing the bare trees.)

False...I hate winter. In the fall, when it gets below 60 F, I start shivering in anticipation of worse cold. On the Other hand, in the spring it hits 60, and I celebrate how warm it is getting!!! LOL.

    TPBM loves espresso.
