Default Right Brain or Left Brain

Here is a simple task. Look at the words below from left to right.
Say out loud the COLOR not the word.

Name: color.gif
Views: 63
Size: 10.7 KB

This is a left brain to right brain conflict. The right side of your brain tries to see the color while the left insists on reading the word. Try it again and cover one eye. Any difference? heheheheheheee... Enjoy.

Cheers,
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

Seeing the words through your left eye - your right brain, should make it easier to see the color of the text rather than the word itself. The left brain is the verbal center of our mind. The right is the creative side. Left handles logic, reasoning, language, etc.. while the right allows us to drive, be creative, handle difficult tasks.

This is a bit of a trick though since I asked you to speak the words out loud. The left brain (responsible for speech) tries to take over even when you shut the right eye out. [Guess I should mention that the brain is wired on opposites. The left side of the body is controlled by the 'right brain' and the right side bf the body by the 'left brain'.]

Anyway, not to be too scientific, this was just posted as fun. I hope you got a kick out of it anyway. heheheee

Cheers,
BD

We have done this at work as a team building excercise. It is fascinating to see how different people are able to do the test.

I do it best with both eyes closed
