It's a really beautiful flowers. But the name is bizare! Atherton is a very upscale city on the San Francisco peninsula, while San Leandro is(was in '78) a blue collar city on the Oakland side of the bay.....

I was born in the Bay Area at Stanford hospital in Palo Alto - the next city is Menlo Park where I grew up, and the next city is Atherton. We used to drive through San Leandro on are way over to the valley - with the windows rolled up and the doors locked!!! LOL Now it is full of tract houses and business parks.
gotsomerice - if you ever get tired of that beauty send it off to ME . I have two week spots - anything orange and complex (Bulldog) paphs. (Not to mention dark chocolate, fine red wine. old port, pretty jewellry, etc.....)

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
