It is on the top shelf on the west side of the greenhouse there is also a shop light over it . I think it is a strong plant have others next to it that don't have the spike it has . Gin

Just beautiful....but don't you think it's time to address the greenery on the floor....or is that the natural ambiance and then am I missing out on something in my GH ... On a serious note, doesn't that algae make the floor slippery, especially wet? You could slip and fall and get hurt..... or that beautiful spike could...I won't say it!!!!

Oh I just love the green on the floor It does get slick but not that bad I use a power washer on it sometimes until I can take the Vandas out of there and use bleach it will stay .
I have a high pressure pump hooked to a mister for the Vandas a losing battle with algae ..You don't know what you are missing Gin

Oh, yes I do little lady....the stuff grows on the walls and sills of my GH and I have to spray with a product called Proforce Lemon Fresh Disinfectant Cleaner. It's composition is similar to Physan-20 or RD-20, which also should work to get rid of algae, but has some other good stuff in it and so far hasn't harmed any of my orchids. I just mix and spray and 24 hrs later the green is all gone! The label says it is organic soil toerant...one step disinfectant, cleaner, sanitizer, fungicide, mildewstat and virucide....all in one!

That's pretty, Gin. And the plant itself looks so vibrant and vigorous. Do you sing to it or what? It sure is happy.
