Default Phrag longifolium x 'Waunakee' x Barbara LeAnn 'Pink Doll'

I received this Phrag over a year ago in spike. It had three leaf plumes. About four months ago the central plume turned yellow and died. I thought once again another beauty bumped off because I screwed up. Then I saw TWO spikes emerging, one from each of the remaining plumes and FOUR new plumes. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing but several months later, here we are with two flowers, a healthy plant and one happy owner!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
