    Default Paph Druid Spring

Here is one of my latest aquisitions. I can't take credit for the blooms on this one. This cross is Paph. druryi x primulinum. The photo washes out the pouch. It's as yellow as the rest!

I'm almost halfway through my orchid photography book. I need a decent macro lens for my camera.

    Default I like that!

Can you get a little closer of the bud? If not it is cool, I will google, but I enjoy the variety in grexes. Great Growing!
    Peace,

    Default Closeup of Druid Spring

Here is the close up. You can plainly see that the bud got crowded by a lowly cattleya leaf...one of those darned unifoliates! This resulted in that dreaded condition, "pouch slant"! It is a nice flower. I like the intense yellow and the distinct druryi black/dark brown markings!

I've got a Paph druryi in bud. Let's see how that one turns out!

    Nice one, Garland.

Yeah, you gotta watch those Cattleyas. They'll sneak up on some poor, unsuspecting Paph and before you know it--bam! Horrible. They should make a law....

Default Nice subtle tones and color!

My only growing problem is the twisting, bent, turning spike. Growing under lights and being a newb constantly looking and moving the plant! Hope it rewards you well in longevity!

That is one of the first things I learned about orchids in spike, never reposition them. I too has a twisty bendy orchid!
