Paph. rothschildianum 'Commander'
Many believed (some still do) that this is the same as 'Mont Milais' as it was brought in at the same time. However, true divisions show distinct differences in growth habits. Again, not the greatest bloom for this cultivar.

I like them both. The dark pouch and bold striping of roth is so wonderful.

a definite winner. no doubt some of the confusion with Mont Millais is due to the good color and well-balanced form. and the fact that paph growers are slightly bonkers to begin with.
