lol, u really think Roy... hehehe... the funny thing is I have had the plant for five years maybe and it has about six or seven growths now and no flower... I'm thinking it might be a cross with a maudiae-type instead (well I'm hoping it still has philippinense in it).

Unlike your plant. I'd pretty much bet on it that it is Paph Lebaudyanum.

I did some more searching and found a few Lebaudyanum, not as many as I thought I would. These is one fine example in the Antec Labs website and the comparison is so close, even to the staminode, I changed the label a half hour ago. P. Lebaudyanum it now is.

Maybe it will be like those P. urbanianum x philippinense we have, great plants, no flowers. For your sake I hope not.

Beautiful blossom, Roy. I especially admire the way the dots on the petals are also found in the stripes on th dorsal sepal. The light colored lower sepal highlights the pouch in a great way too.

    Hi Roy,

You may well have seen these already, but just in case you had not, I thought I'd better post these links to Louis's & Tim's photos of their Paph. lebaudyanum plants in bloom. (They're probably too modest to say so, but both photos are definitely worth a look. As well, some of the discussion is quite instructive.) I'm glad you have satisfactorily found the ID of the plant because it's definitely worth keeping! (If you disagree, I think you'll find many here who would be happy to take it off your hands! LOL) Anyhow, the links:

Thanks Rob, I don't think Tim added his pics. Just confirms what mine is.
