Paph fairrieanum
Paph fairrieanum is a compact growing species, discovered in 1857. Its range in the wild is from Bhutan and India and nearby parts of China. I think that this species also makes very pretty hybrids too, passing its curves to its progeny.
The parentage on this one is (‘Supernymph’ x ‘Excel’) Its a first time bloomer. I think my bloom is small but I was told they are smaller bloomed. However that is okay as the plants are small too. They are intermediate temp growers but I think they can take household temperatures since mine does. Thanks for looking.

OK, I just have to say I love this flower! The wine-purple striping on the dorsal sepal is so stunningly set off by the white background. And I really like the hairs on all the petals & sepals. This just rocks!
Cheers,
Rob

One of my favorites too, Fren. I love the shape of fairrieanum. I bet the next bloom on this plant will be even better.
cheers,
BD

Nice! This has been on my wish list for a long time. From everything I have read they are easy to grow in a home with or without lights.
