Smile Paphiopedilum Hilo Luanne - a lighter vini orchid

And the final ladyslipper orchid for today, a paph that has been named since I started growing it. I need to update my tag with this one's name. I like the color and symmetrical petals on this one. Too bad that it has been open for awhile and has damage on the pouch.

You would probably do well with vini paphs. They do not require much light and have pretty foliage so when not in bloom, they are still attractive plants.

That is quite a looker there! Very nice!!

(and yes, you can grow them indoors - I have several and they are the easiest of all to grow on a windowsill for me)

Yes, as hcubed points out, many people have great success with these indoors. They require lower light levels, so windowsill growers have some success with growing and reblooming this type of slipper orchid.
