    Default Paph. Fairy Lace

Here is a first-bloom seedling of Paph. Fairy Lace (White Legacy x fairrieanum). The raspberry spots on this flower get darker and darker and the flower has enlarged substantially since opening!

Hadley Cash of Marriott Orchids submitted a group of these for judging recently in Atlanta and got two AOS awards and a couple of distinction awards.

This is a nice, compact plant. I could use more compact plants...

    Hey Garland!

Nice fairrieanum cross! You can see the distinct shape clearly. We had a cross similar to that one bloom recently. It is crossed with paph. nivenum but has nearly the same coloring. I love the way the petals turn out like a skirt on yours. It seems elegant compared to the one I am thinking about. I love these compact paphs too. They seem very reliable when it comes to blooming regularly. Heck, here is a photo of the one I am talking about. I don't have the name in front of me and I am sure the new spell check is not going to help with this, but here is what I remember: Paph. nivenum Hsinton X faireanum Clark (I hope that is correct!)

Those white fairrieanum crosses are really interesting – I haven't seen any like them before.

Beautiful Paphs. The spottings really make them look like lace.
