Default Paphs In Bloom May 2009 - Paph Wossner Vietnam Love

ok so it's a little late with the post this month... i was hoping to take photos using my new camera, however between ordering it online and having it delivered it's become something of a nitemare. anyhoo... this is about the pretty little Paphs, so what's in bloom in May...

    still in bloom are:-
    Paph henryanum
    Paph Red Magic

    And newly blooming are:-

    1. Paph Gael 'Camira' - this actually came first in the Paph section of our recent Society meeting.

    2. Paph Wossner Vietnam Love - umm... this is the reason I wanted a new camera... apologies for the quality.. it wasn't intentional to put a beauty screen over the lens ;-)

now, this month, there is no Cattleya alliance sneaking in... there were a couple in flower but my SO's mum was over and well.. y'all know how it goes...

so that's all folks.. fingers crossed something opens up for June!

    cheers
    tim

thanks everyone... your words are kind and spurs me to grow more of these...

as usual these two are a validation not of my ability (more like lack thereof) to get these to flower but my addiction to these beauties... they come in a number of colours, with a lot of variation in shape (note bubble pouch) and of course, they are just so long lasting... that Paph Red Magic still looks great after three months!

Tim, you are too modest! I definitely look up to you as one of the better Paph growers on this forum and always enjoy seeing your photos. These are great, as usual. I sure see why the Gael won its first place showing. I really am intrigued by the bicolored laterals--I've never seen ones so sharply distinct like that.

    Cheers,
    Rob
