I have seen a parishii var alba that has the same light green colour but the lateral petals are longer and shaped more like the normal parishii but without the spots.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. So this parishii can be nearly turned to be semi-alba. It is in the middle of normal and semi-alba.^V^

In my opinion your plant is a hybrid of Paphiopedilum parishii and Paph. venustum.

    All the best,

that is very wild! I too suspect that may be a hybrid, although the petals seem reminiscent of section cochlopetalum. too wide for venustum I think, and that's a lot of flowers for the other parent to be single-flowered. how about parishii x primulinum?

    Red face

The first pic is taken from an orchid contest.
I participated in order to check name and species or hybrids.
Many orchid growers said that it may be the wild hybrid if we looking at the flower but it is contrast with the apperance of the plant, which is exactly the same to parishii. Still no idea with this.

In my opinion is a normal mutant parishii....
I've seen many variants, some with trifid petals and others with veeery short petals....maybe can have also alba gene inside...but still parishii.I cannot see how can be an hybrid...where venustum can be seen in this flower?(and in the leaves....??!)
I've not read the description of the new paph.aranianum yet,but can be this new specie also cause is veeery near to parishii and dianthum.

    Thank you for your suggestion.
I agree that it is a mutated parishii.
In addition I would like to thank for the name paph. aranianum.
I have one and don't know the name.
The flower is similar to dianthum, only the dorsal is different, which from white to green color.^V^
